Swan Island is situated off the coast of Honduras in the western Caribbean.
With a face value of US $ 2.50 (misspelled Two Dollors Fifty Cents), the label was used to pay for a courier service which included Jamaica. Jamaican stamps were then affixed to pay for the rest of the postage. The label is unused and in very good condition with the original gum.
In 1960 a 50 kw mediumwave radio station was built on Swan Island for broadcasting to Cuba.
