The Crosley Radio Corporation included invitation cards with their applause cards. The purchaser of a new Crosley set was encouraged to use the invitation cards to invite friends over for a radio party. These cards also served to promote Crosley radios.
The radio depicted in the illustration resembles a 1928 Crosley metal cabinet set (probably a Jewelbox) in front of a 1928 Crosley Dynacone speaker.
