Inside The Radio Den Of A Pioneer Listener - Charles Slingsby


Copper Slingsby meticulously recorded the details of what he heard during those early days of radio in nine log books (Three of these logbooks have fortunately been preserved alongside the QSL's and letters and serve as a fascinating record of the long distance radio reception experienced in Cape Town during the 1920s and 1930s). 

The newspaper article, dated June 23, 1934 (high resolution images below), highlighted some of the interesting stations and program details including historical broadcasts recorded in Copper Slingsby's radio log books.
