KOIN Portland, Oregon - c 1928



KQP, Portland commenced broadcasting on November 9, 1925. The call letters were changed to KOIN on April 12, 1926.

KOIN operated on 319 metres (940 kHz) with an output of 1000 watts.  

On June 21st, 1926, the station moved from the Portland Hotel to the Heathman Hotel.

The Portland News purchased KOIN on November 8th, 1926. 

On December 17th, 1927, KOIN relocated to new studios in the New Heathman Hotel where the station remained until 1952.
