WCAD Canton New York (St. Lawrence University) - 1924



WCAD commenced broadcasting on May 4th, 1922.

The station was operated by St. Lawrence University with an initial output of 100 watts.

WCAD broadcast on 280 metres (1070 kHz) with a power of 250 watts during the time of the reception (most likely at the beginning of November 1924) which occurred at Rockland, Maine. The QSL card was signed by radio operator and engineer Harold Bergman.

The station ceased broadcasting in 1941.
